“Let thy food by thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food.” – Hippocrates

This blog was inspired by the desire to have a dedicated forum to share delicious recipes.  Each week, Melissa found herself sharing recipes back and forth with a group of her health-conscience, creative, and fantastic friends and family.  It was hard to keep track of all the recipes and sharing comments back and forth between people – and thus the idea of the blog was born.  The goal of this blog is to share recipes that include our own tips for improvement and to comment on others posts to share any changes and feedback we made.  The 5 writers don’t all know each other, but we are connected by our passion for cooking!

Melissa is a graduate student studying School Psychology.  She has Crohn’s disease and eats (mostly) gluten-free, dairy-free, and corn syrup-free.  She loves to cook with her boyfriend and experiment with new recipes.

Kaitlin recently graduated with a degree in Business.  She is especially enjoys making sweets, although she is talented at many types of cooking.  Her creativity and aesthetic eye is always apparent in her food.

Leslie H. is Melissa and Kaitlin’s mom and she is an incredible cook.  She is a dairy-free vegetarian who can cook anything with ease.  She believes in the healing power of food and loves to juice.

Leslie W. is a School Psychology graduate student.  She has a passion for nutrition and wellness that carries over into her cooking adventures.  She loves to try out new and different recipes.

Leah is a Speech and Language Pathologist.  She loves to peruse pinterest for new recipes and is a master of instagram photos.  She likes to make veggie-packed salads and sandwiches.
